Hansford is tops when it comes to client satisfaction

Since 1992, Tess Hansford has been a highly regarded Realtor at Coldwell Banker Landmark Group (CBLG).

Over the years, her real estate acumen has been respected and as a seasoned agent, she has witnessed the ups and downs of the market.

Having lived in the Fallbrook area for 31 years, Hansford is well-versed in all the special aspects that come with living in this rural community.

“I prefer staying in my own territory, covering Fallbrook, Bonsall, De Luz and Rainbow,” she said. “By not being in your own area, sometimes <a Realtor> can really do a client a disservice because they don’t know the schools, the area and all those other important things.”

Hansford specializes in single-family residences and condominium properties. She is also a certified military specialist.

When Hansford is asked for real estate assistance outside her territory, she refers these individuals to another outstanding agent. It’s this type of integrity that has made Hansford a decorated agent.

In 2008, San Diego Magazine listed Hansford as one of its 2008 winners for ‘Best in Client Satisfaction.’

“It was my client who called me and congratulated me about it. I hadn’t even seen the magazine yet,” she said.

Hansford, however, won’t be surprised next year. She was recently notified that the magazine has listed her once again as a winner. The magazine will publish Hansford’s name, as well as those of the other winners, in its March issue.

“What wins like this mean to me are that I’ve done a good job and people appreciate that I’ve helped them,” she said.

In addition to her San Diego Magazine victories, Hansford has won other numerous awards, such as Outstanding Performance Award, Top Listing Agent, President’s Circle and President’s Club Recognition and Customer Satisfaction Awards.

Hansford has many wonderful traits. However, in this technological age, one of her most unique characteristics is her hands-on client care.

“The Internet is wonderful, but I still think that personal phone calls and handwritten notes are still a nice way of keeping in touch with people,” she said, citing how she also shows her appreciation for her customers in these correspondences.

Hansford’s communication and listening skills are impeccable. Potential buyers appreciate this keen talent when being shown available properties.

“I’m not going to waste anyone’s time,” she said. “I’m not going to show a property that I like when it goes against what they like.”

And at the negotiation table, Hansford will get the best for her clients while never losing sight of being fair to the other party.

Hansford calls herself a “happy camper” at Coldwell Banker Landmark Group.

“The people are great here and we have the best support system ever,” she said. “We have 24-hour support and service from our broker, our own print shop and great technology.”

Nearly 80 percent of Hansford’s business comes from referrals. For her, these referrals are the best professional compliments she could ever wish for.

A project quite near and dear to Hansford’s heart is Toys for Tots. Since 1995, she has been the cochairman for the US Marine Reserves’ Toys for Tots in Fallbrook.

“If you come [to CBLG in Fallbrook] from December 18 to 20, you can’t even walk through the office because there are so many toys,” she said. “There are no words to describe how special our community is when giving to Toys for Tots.”

Hansford works at the CBLG office at 746 South Main Avenue, Suite A. She can be reached at (760) 803-8377 or (800) 372-0008 or [email protected].
