Jr. Midget Cheer takes first place

FALLBROOK — The Fallbrook Pop Warner Warrior Nation Cheer squad placed first in their division (Junior Midget, Small Novice) at the Palomar Conference competition on Sunday, October 25, in San Diego.

The win enables the girls to compete at the Wescon Regional Championships in Ontario on Sunday, November 22.

With a great performance at the regional competition, the squad has the potential to advance to the Pop Warner National Cheer & Dance competition at Walt Disney World in Orlando in December.

The squad of 12 girls, ages 11 to 13, and five coaches has been practicing since August with dreams of a national title.

The cheerleaders practice throughout the week after school and have performed with spirit and pride every Saturday at their respective football games during this football season.

Support from the community is encouraged at the squad’s upcoming competition. The championships will be held at the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario.
