VanderLans wins go-round at CFR

Jack VanderLans won the first Steer Wrestling go-round at the California Finals Rodeo in Norco.
The 2001 Fallbrook High School graduate had a time of 4.6 seconds to open the November 20-21 California Circuit finals. VanderLans also shared second and third in the second Steer Wrestling go-round and placed fourth in the first Tie-Down Roping go-round.
“It went pretty well,” said VanderLans, who broke the barrier on that run to incur a ten-second penalty. “I had a little bad luck on my third steer. Other than that it was a good rodeo.”
