TEMECULA – The Santa Margarita Sierra Club will meet on Thursday, January 28 at 7 p.m. at Rancho California Water District Headquarters, 42135 Winchester Road in Temecula.
The guest speaker will be Richard Halsey, Director of the California Chaparral Institute. He is also an award winning author, teacher and wild land firefighter. Widely recognized for expertise in local ecology and post fire regeneration, Halsey will share his unique approach to adapting to fire-prone environment. Another guest will be Lorraine Harrington, member of the Board of Directors for both the Coalition of Trails Enthusiasts (CTE) for Riverside County, which is an advocate for trails reclamation and Rancho California Horsemen’s Association (RCHA), a group whose mission is to protect the “horse country” atmosphere in the Temecula Valley since the 70’s.
