A mosaic tile workshop for the new library

FALLBROOK - Friends of the Fallbrook Library invite local residents to participate in a free mosaic tile workshop for the new library, at Fallbrook School of the Arts, 310 E. Alvarado St. on Saturday, Feb. 6, from 1 to 4 p.m.

This is an opportunity to have fun and participate in creating the donor mural that will be installed on the front of the new library.

Artist Betsy Schulz will give each individual or family (including children) an opportunity to make two or three small texture or word tiles. This is an easy project that requires no experience and will only take about 10 minutes.

Participants are asked to bring any small artifacts such as special rocks, shells, arrowheads, broken dishes, teacups, metal objects and pieces of old small farm tools. All objects should have a special relevance to Fallbrook. Artifacts will not be returned.

Anyone who has artifact but cannot attend the workshop, can place their item or items in the 5-gallon bucket at the Bottom Shelf Book Store, 111-B S. Main Ave., located next to the temporary library. Enter the store through the alley and provide artifacts before Feb. 6
