Top spellers compete at Potter

FALLBROOK – Forty-five students competed in the local Potter Jr. High Spelling Bee on Tuesday, Jan. 26. The first place winner was Dominique Dunning from Iowa Street School and the other students each attend Potter. Second place was Emil Lundqvist, and the winners who tied for 3rd place were Tessa Fieri and Shakeah Farmer.

All participants received certificates of achievement and the top three winners were presented with medals and dinner gift certificates that were donated by Ross Curtis of Allstate Insurance Company. The 1st place winner will go on to compete in the San Diego County Spelling Bee on March 24 in Old Town, San Diego.
