Tri-City carpet known for expert advice

After more than 30 years, Tri-City Carpet continues to be a great source in North San Diego County for quality residential and commercial flooring. A family-owned and operated business, Tri City Carpet prides itself on extensive product knowledge and outstanding customer satisfaction results.

Its experienced sales staff, each with about 25 years in the industry, has allowed Tri-City Carpet to build loyal relationships with clients.

“Our salespeople go out and estimate a job at the site, do the labor scheduling and follow the job all the way through to the end,” said Tom LaVine, assistant manager. “And if our customers call us with an issue, the original salesperson will help them.”

The salespeople at Tri-City Carpet are there for their clients even after a job is completed. This kind of service, LaVine said, is far different from a big box store. As many consumers are aware, sales associates can be difficult to locate in some big box stores and many are unfamiliar with the inventory and the installers.

At Tri-City Carpet, the business relationship between the store and the installers has been strong for years.

The Tri-City Carpet Vista location, flanked by two popular big box stores, doesn’t mind the competition at all. “We love being right in the middle, because here, you get fast service and find someone with experience,” said LaVine.

Compared to a big box store, LaVine said Tri City’s service and prices can’t be beat. After all, Tri-City Carpet has the largest carpet warehouse in San Diego North.

“Our strength has always been our carpet roll stock specials and remnants,” he said, noting how they have over 100 rolls and remnants in stock. “We also stock pallets of laminate flooring at real discounted prices.”

Shaw and Mohawk are a couple of the carpet lines available at Tri-City Carpet. Its selection for both residential and commercial applications is vast. Likewise, their array of carpet styles includes, but is not limited to Berber, indoor/outdoor, Saxony, commercial, cushion back, shags and patterned carpets.

For those homeowners who want to tackle a flooring project on a do-it-yourself basis, Tri-City Carpet will happily sell them the needed products, while the homeowner does the rest.

Its 13,000-square-foot warehouse and showroom at their Vista location is not to be missed. Floor fashions include carpet, ceramic tile, laminate, hardwood, luxury vinyl, and sheet vinyl. Tri-City offers a full gamut of inventory from commercial to upscale grade.

LaVine said that in 2009 numerous flooring companies closed in San Diego County. Tri-City Carpet has decades of longevity, and remains strong due to its good reputation and expertise in the business.

“We’ve always been honest with our customers,” he said. “We are all on salary and not on commission, which means we are not going to sell someone something that they don’t need.”

In addition to residential flooring installation, many property management companies have come to depend on their services for tenant improvement jobs. It has also made a significant mark in commercial work, as well. Tri-City Carpet has a longstanding reputation of being timely, on budget, and providing superior service.

LaVine said he is very appreciative of their clients that have done business with Tri City Carpet throughout the years.
