Kenneth Russell Carter, 77, of Fallbrook, Calif., passed away on February 16, 2010, following a recent diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.
Born on a farm near Fort Branch, Ind., Ken was the fourth of eight children. After graduating from Purdue University with a degree in horticulture and serving two years in the US Army, he settled in California, arriving in Fallbrook in the mid 1960’s.
Ken worked at several nurseries in the Fallbrook/Vista area in his career, and was a member of the Fallbrook Garden Club and the Fallbrook Art Association. He was a long-term volunteer teacher of citizenship class...
