Library is collecting squares for blankets

FALLBROOK – Colorful scraps of yarn are available during the months of February and March for anyone who would like to join the volunteers and staff of the Fallbrook Branch of the San Diego County Library in creating knitted or crochet nine-inch squares to be turned into warm blankets for the Linus Project and Warm Up America.

Local groups have already taken up the cause and a large number of squares are anticipated. Labors of Love on Main Avenue donated skeins of yarn for this project. Any type or color of washable yarn can be used. A cozy spot is being prepared for those who would like to work on their squares while visiting the library.

All the donated squares should be turned in no later than

March 13.
