On March 12, local homeschool student spent two hours helping at the Fallbrook Food Pantry, bagging 7,840 pounds of government commodities to be handed out to over 550 needy families and seniors the following week. Parent helpers Cindy Lemke, Mary Ellen Sullivan and Diane Hill assisted the students with the project.
The commodities are supplemented by fresh carrots, potatoes, salad mix and broccoli or cauliflower. The produce was provided by the Feeding America Food Bank in San Diego....
