Exotic Plant Invitational Plant Sale

FALLBROOK – Palm and Cycad Exchange, a plant brokerage business that specializes primarily in rare and exotic plant material for the collector and for upscale landscape projects, is organizing an Exotic Plant Sale to be held Saturday, April 3 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free and the event is open to the public. It will take place at 3562 Olive Hill Road, in Fallbrook, one and one-half miles south of the intersection of Olive Hill and South Mission Roads.

“In the process of contacting our current clients as well as some additional new nurseries and independent growers,” said Keith Huber, owner, “it became clear that nearly all had the same story, ‘Business has been difficult for the last year and a half.’ My wife and I were compelled to do something about it. We wanted to help promote a better business climate for local growers.”

The unique quality of this sale is that it has no individual emphasis or specific plant material that will be highlighted. The plants that will be featured are rare and unique varieties from around the world grown by local growers who specialize in their chosen field. There will be palms, cycads, succulents, cacti, orchids, bromeliads, plumerias, proteas, bamboos and much more.

The sale promises to be a colorful cornucopia of exotic plants provided by a unique group of growers and nurseries.

Plant enthusiasts will find a significant amount of unique yet affordable material at this sale. All attendees will be eligible for free drawings held each half hour. Food and drink service will be available on site, and traffic safety will be provided by the Sheriff Department’s Senior Volunteer Patrol.
