“Even a fool is counted wise when he holds his peace; when he shuts his lips, he is considered perceptive.”

Surely this proverb is true! Fake it until you make it was a motto of mine whenever I started a new job or endeavor. Part of faking it was to say less and not too much. People automatically thought I knew more than I did. That strategy helped to buy me time while I was learning the new job or situation. As a general rule, the more we learn, the more we realize how much we do not know. Continuing in the mode of keeping silent is a path of wisdom.
