Droopy eyelids, trouble swallowing could be Myasthenia Gravis

Many health conditions have trademark symptoms. Droopy eyelids, trouble with eye movements, and difficulty swallowing are some of the ones associated with the autoimmune disease known as Myasthenia Gravis.

Between "40,000 and 60,000 people are thought to have Myasthenia Gravis in the United States," said Dr. Payam Soltanzadeh, who specializes in neurology and neuromuscular medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles Medical Center.

Soltanzadeh said the condition is "underdiagnosed," and since statistics are prone to bias, these are the numbers currently sourced and relied upon.
