AAUW mahjong tournament a great success

FALLBROOK — The American Association of University Women (AAUW) held their annual mahjong tournament on September 19 to raise funds for the Educational Foundation for AAUW scholarships.

The tournament was held at the Fallbrook Public Utility District and a total of 80 players played against each other on 20 tables for prizes donated by local businesses. The participants were also encouraged to join in a raffle to win prizes donated by local businesses.

The tournament was won by Sue Deans and Joyce Esbensen came in at second place.

The AAUW wishes to thank all players and participants, prize and raffle donors and all those who were able to support the event.
