1-800-GOT-JUNK? donates to KFCG

FALLBROOK — Keep Fallbrook Clean and Green (KFCG) was awarded a $510 donation from Bill Cox, owner of the Oceanside franchise of 1-800-GOT-JUNK?, a major participant in KFCG’s annual Cleanup/Recycling Day.

Cox has participated in the annual cleanup since the inception of the program and for the past three years has been the organizer of the event’s e-waste component.

This year’s recycling activities generated 14,913 pounds of electrical equipment – 6.63 tons in three hours. Cox also collected and recycled 2,370 pounds of metal.

In appreciation for the work of KFCG, 1-800-GOT-JUNK? provided the donation to help support the organization’s cleanup and recycling activities.

KFCG created and maintains Fallbrook’s popular household battery recycling program and also organizes Fallbrook’s Cleanup/Recycling Day each year.
