FALLBROOK — “Face to Face,” the latest collection of paintings by award-winning California artist Richard Stergulz, will be on display at Pinnell Gallery beginning December 6.

In his new collection, Stergulz brings his characters’ “faces” to life on miniature canvases with moving detail and emotion.

Although Stergulz is known for his work on the human figure, he wanted this collection to focus on the range of human emotion.

“Everyone has a story. Their face is like the cover of the book,” he said. “I wanted to capture in the paintings the moment when their eyes reveal the emotion of their soul.”

A reception for the artist will be held December 13 from 4 to 7 p.m. The gallery is located at 124 North Main. Refreshments will be served.
