Art auction to benefit Warrior Foundation

OCEANSIDE — An art auction benefiting the Warrior Foundation will be held at El Camino Country Club Saturday, January 17, starting at 5 p.m.

More than 160 framed original watercolors will be auctioned through silent and live auctions and fifty percent of all proceeds will be donated to the Warrior Foundation.

Dave Feyk, a former Fallbrook resident who has been painting for 30 years, is donating much of his current watercolor collection to the cause.

The Warrior Foundation is a special charity founded by radio talk show host Rick Roberts to benefit local wounded military.

The foundation assists injured service people in all branches of the military and is supervised by a dedicated volunteer group of citizens who accept no administration fees.

“One hundred percent of all money received by the Warrior Foundation goes to our injured service people,” said Sandy Lehmkuhler, the Warrior Foundation Director. “Not a penny goes to administration fees. All proceeds go directly to our San Diego Warriors who are recovering from the wounds they have received defending our country.”

Admission to the auction is $10. Fifty percent of the admission price will go directly to the Warrior Foundation donation fund.

The admission price will also include wine, appetizers and a chance to win a grand prize. Active military will be admitted free.

Tickets may be purchased at the door or by calling (760) 757-2100.

El Camino Country Club is located at 3202 Vista Way in Oceanside.
