On Saturday, February 28, Cassidy Burchard and Devon Rojas, both of Fallbrook, participated in the Music in Action festival in Escondido. Music in Action is a piano competition hosted by area piano teachers. Students are judged on performance, musicianship and creative arts. Cassidy received a Medalist Award and also received Superior ratings in technical skills, ear training and sight reading. Devon received a Medalist Award and also Superior ratings in two performance pieces, terms and signs and fundamental technical skill. Both are students of Kirsten Kasten of Fallbrook.
