Reserve to hold open house

The public can learn more about Santa Margarita Ecological Reserve through lectures and a guided hike to the river during the reserve’s first open house on March 28 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Santa Margarita is the last fully-protected, free-flowing river in Southern California.

Lectures and hike will begin at 9:30 and 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Refreshments will be provided. The event is free.

A shuttle service will take visitors from the parking lot at Temecula’s City Hall up to the reserve. Return shuttles will run every 20 minutes.

Temecula City Hall is located at 43200 Business Park Drive.
