Sheriff’s Sgt. Ron McCracken confirmed that an 18-year-old man was the victim of a stabbing Monday night on West Aviation Road.
Jose Barrera of Fallbrook was reportedly approached by two Hispanic males in a trailer park in the 200 block of West Aviation.
“The two men, possibly gang members, started arguing with Barrera,” said McCracken.
Shortly after the argument took place, Barrera was seen staggering out of the trailer park toward the roadway, where he fell down.
“A citizen in the area responded, noticed had been stabbed in the abdomen and called 9-1-1,” said McCracken.
Barrera was transported to Palomar Hospital with injuries categorized as non-life-threatening.
McCracken said the incident is under investigation by the Sheriff’s Department’s North County Gang Task Force.
