Artist Tom Fong to demo watercolor painting

FALLBROOK- The next meeting of the Fallbrook Art Association will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday February 8, at the Fallbrook Public Utilities Department Building, 990 E. Mission Rd. Tom Fong will be the featured artist and will be presenting a watercolor painting demonstration at the meeting.

Prior to the demonstration and meeting there will be an informal critique session from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Artists may bring one or two paintings that are in progress in any media and will receive instructive comments from Fong. The public is invited to attend the meeting and demonstration.

Fong is a native of California and graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Design. He is known for his bold and spontaneous watercolor paintings. His works have been included in national juried exhibitions and many art publications, such as Watercolor Artist, Artist’s magazine, and American Artist.

Fong is a signature member of Watercolor West and has served as that organization’s president. He teaches at various colleges and conducts workshops nationally and internationally.

He will be presenting a watercolor painting workshop from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday February 14. The workshop will be held at the Fallbrook Public Utilities Department Building.
