The San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) board approved a list of 26 projects to be requested in the fiscal year 2011 federal transportation appropriations cycle, and the widening of State Route 76 was among those projects.
SANDAG’s January 22 approval of the request includes seeking $9 million to widen Highway 76 between Melrose Drive in Oceanside and Interstate 15. SANDAG has requested a total of $736.55 million for the 2009 federal appropriations cycle.
