Fallbrook Boys & Girls Rugby teams to vie for 2010 National Championships

SANDY, UTAH –The top 24 boys and girls teams in the country will meet for the USA Rugby High School and Under-19 Championships in Sandy, Utah, on May 21-23. Both Fallbrook’s Boys High School team and Girls Under-19 team qualified for the tournament which gets underway with a full day of Boys’ High School and Under-19 competition from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. MT this Friday, May 21, leading up to the championship matches Saturday at 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., respectively.

The Girls’ Under-19 contest commences early Saturday morning and culminates in the Championship match at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Joining Fallbrook in the boys high school division are defending champion Sacramento’s Jesuit High School, Snow Canyon (St. George, Utah), Gonzaga College High School (Washington, D.C.), Xavier High School (N.Y.), Brownsburg High School (Ind.), Charlotte Catholic (S.C.) and Westlake High School (Austin, Texas).

Besides Southern Cal’s Fallbrook, the 2010 field of Girls’ U-19 competition includes Milwaukee’s Divine Savior Holy Angels, Riverside Brookfield (Ill.), Washington’s Kent, Portland (Maine), Maryville (Tenn.), the West Carroll Lady Marauders, and Sacramento’s Amazons.
