Healthy Woman celebrates another year in style

FALLBROOK - Over 260 guests celebrated Fallbrook Hospital’s Healthy Woman Program’s fourth anniversary May 24 in style - with pink satin and black décor.

Hosted by Pala Mesa Resort, the event featured nationally-known motivational speaker and author Colette Carlson, who talked about life balance and encouraged women to “stress less and laugh more.” Carlson ended the presentation with a humorous demonstration of how women’s multiple daily responsibilities can weigh them down and how setting limits can help them lead healthier, productive lives.

The Healthy Woman community collaborative is coordinated by Monique Murphy-Mijares of Fallbrook Hospital and is supported by an advisory council of community representatives and 37 local business partners, who were honored and recognized at the event.

This free community resource program for women boasts over 1,500 members and features monthly “Ladies Night Out” events with educational programs designed to provide women with information on how to take care of their emotional, physical and fiscal well-being. The programs are held at various partner locations, and include social and networking opportunities, food, fun and door prizes.
