Let's get more psychics, tattoo parlors

Recently, the Fallbrook Planning Group, in its infinite wisdom, chose to deny Sweet Leilani’s restaurant use of their outside seating area in the large parking lot outside their establishment. I think that this proprietor should be commended for opening up a nice business in what I can charitably say is a “less-than-desirable” part of town. We should be applauding and working with businesses like Leilani’s and not throwing roadblocks in their way.

I can think of several businesses nearby that are running afoul of one code or another that seem to skate through. I hope that they will revisit this ruling and work with people to rehabilitate the northern entrance to our town, which is a joke.

Or better yet, let’s get more psychics, tattoo parlors, thrift shops and outdoor Mexican markets to take their spot and really gentrify the place.

This letter is my own opinion and was not solicited in any way by Sweet Leilani’s.
