Chargers conquered Southern California

As the 2006-2007 season comes to an end for the San Diego Chargers, I remind all the fans of an old saying: “What don’t kill you can only make you stronger.”

I cannot think of anyone in the NFL who deserves a Super Bowl ring more than Marty Schottenheimer. “Marty, you did everything right, you just ran out of time.”

No player in particular is to blame for this devastating outcome; united we stand, united we fall. LaDainian Tomlinson had one of the greatest seasons ever by a running back and we hope to see many more.

The Chargers might have not won the Super Bowl, but they conquered Southern California. They have always – and I repeat, always – been true to Southern California, unlike other NFL franchises that go back and forth and lack good sportsmanship.

On behalf of all the people of Southern California, I thank the San Diego Chargers for uniting us as one.
