Obama fosters attitude of victimization

Barack Obama says Reverend Jeremiah Wright led him to Jesus.

Based on excerpts from Rev. Wright’s sermons (obtained from a video marketed by his church), in which he preaches hatred, conspiracy and the victimization of blacks by white America, it’s difficult to believe Obama was led to the Jesus who said, “…Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned; Forgive and you will be forgiven.” Luke 6:37

Wright’s Afro-centric Liberation Theology is not true Christianity, but, rather it uses Christianity as a vehicle to advance a political and social agenda, grossly corrupting the true message of Christ, the message of individual regeneration through repentance and forgiveness of sin.

The practice of forgiveness in our own lives, in keeping with the teachings of Christ, frees us from the bonds of anger and resentment and gives us the energy and self-determination to achieve God’s purpose for us in this life.

Until the members of Rev. Wright’s congregation (and similar congregants) learn the value of this teaching, they will continue to be oppressed by self-pity that breeds dependence and resentment.

Many black leaders and democrat politicians have fostered these attitudes for decades to build a personal power base – at the expense of the black community.

Sadly, hope for leadership that empowers the individual has been dealt a heavy blow by the revelation of Barack Obama’s long and intimate association with a preacher of victimization and blame.
