Warrior sticksters win season opener with shutout

Fallbrook High School’s field hockey team won its season opener September 9 at Vista by a score of 1-0.

A goal by Lauren Hughey with an assist by Kyle Little took place with a minute left in the first half of the Vista game to constitute the only scoring. “Pretty strong game. A lot of transition back and forth,” Waite said.

Goalies Jahna Jordan and Jessalyn Norton shared the shutout for Fallbrook. Defender Lizzy Eskue was selected as the player of the game for Fallbrook.
