Robbery appears to be isolated case

A robbery that occurred shortly after 4 a.m. on Friday, November 14, at CVS Pharmacy (South Mission and Ammunition Road) appears to have been an isolated case, said Sheriff’s Detective Jeff Lauhon.

Store employees reported that a man wearing all black, including a ski mask, hooded sweatshirt and cap, came into the store, acted like he had a weapon in his pocket and demanded cash.

“There was no weapon seen; we don’t know that there was a gun or not,” Lauhon said. “It’s possible he had his hand in his pocket with a finger pointed outward.”

The employees gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash and he left. No one was injured in the incident.

The man was described as being between 5’ and 5’2” tall. Witnesses were unable to determine what race the man was, Lauhon said.

“There are no other incidents related to this one,” Lauhon said. “We have leads and are conducting a full investigation into this.”

Anyone with information pertaining to this incident is encouraged to call Detective Jeff Lauhon at the Fallbrook Sheriff’s Substation at (760) 451-3100.
