Jean Ellen Gahner of RE/MAX United is the type of Realtor who builds lifelong relationships with her clients. Through her real estate savvy, integrity and kind ways, she has established a strong foundation of loyal clients and referrals.
“I’m not the kind of Realtor that puts a sign in the ground and then disappears,” said Gahner. “I want to be your Realtor for life, even after escrow closes.”
Although the real estate market continues to face challenging times, Gahner’s positive attitude and passion for the business has propelled her to excellence. “I’m here for the long haul and I refuse to give up,” she confirmed.
It’s this uplifting attitude which enables Gahner to see wonderful prospects for both her existing and new clients. According to this Realtor, now is a great time to buy, for three simple reasons: huge inventory, affordable prices and historically low mortgage interest rates.
“There are fantastic opportunities for buyers and this is the time to buy,” she said. Gahner has clients who are purchasing their first home, investment rental homes, summer homes and residences for their children.
“I have been showing so many properties for months now because there is so much to see and people are looking for deals,” said Gahner. “There are so many foreclosures and short sales on the market and this is where you will get your fantastic deals.”
And for those homes that are not in the stress-sale category, prices are also low right now. People who could not afford the home of their dreams three to five years ago can now, in many cases, afford to buy it, Gahner said.
Recently, Gahner was able to make a transaction for a Marine who had just returned home from Iraq. “I worked with him and his wife a few years ago and I couldn’t get him a home because they couldn’t qualify for a loan,” she said. “It just broke my heart because they were out there fighting for our freedom.”
Because of the drastic reduction in home prices, this Marine has now been able to qualify for a lovely home in Murrieta. “It was a wonderful day when I handed this family the keys to their new home.”
When searching for a Realtor, said Gahner, it’s important to have someone who will take the time to show a client every single home that one can afford. There are a lot of homes out there and much to sift through.
Having had the best mentors, Gahner possess sharp skills in contract negotiations. She describes her method as friendly, courteous, fair, firm and consistent. In addition to her impressive negotiation skills, she has had notable results in her listings.
Whatever side of the transaction table Gahner sits on, the ongoing communication she provides to her clients is impeccable. “I take excellent care of my clients.”
Gahner is also delighted to assist others when looking to purchase a home in another state or country. RE/MAX is a full-service worldwide brokerage and she can network with other RE/MAX agents around the globe.
Gahner calls working with RE/MAX United “a wonderful experience” and says she is passionate about the industry because of her excellent broker. “My whole support team is wonderful and I would never go anywhere else.”
