FALLBROOK- Fallbrook Rugby Club is hosting a rugby camp for boys and girls ages 12 to 18 on Sunday, January 11, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Registration takes place from 8 to 9 a.m. at Fallbrook High Football Stadium. Lunch will be provided.
The purpose of this camp is to provide training in the rules, regulations and skills of rugby while emphasizing safety. Many certified coaches will be teaching at the camp along with local college and United States national coaches.
Fallbrook Rugby has had great success in the past and was Southern California champs the last two years.
Cost of the camp is $125, plus a $10 or $20 registration fee, depending on age. Fee includes mandatory membership to USA Rugby, a Fallbrook Rugby tee shirt, referee fees, tournament fees and a ten-match season with home matches including the time-honored tradition of an “after-match meal” for all players on both teams. We will also have an end of the year banquet to honor both players and parents.
Players must be accompanied by a parent to register and bring a copy of their birth certificate for proper team placement. Each player will also need to buy their own shorts, socks and mouthpieces. Socks will be provided for all U14 players. A vendor will be there selling items. For more information, see http://www.fallbrookrugby.org.
