Barbara Rodriguez: excellence in action

Barbara Rodriguez, a Realtor with Sunshine Properties, has provided professional real estate services for nearly 20 years. A Fallbrook resident since 1989, she has specialized in real estate transactions in the greater Fallbrook area and the rest of San Diego County as well as southwestern Riverside County.

Helping people gives Rodriguez great satisfaction. “Buying a home is a big purchase and it gives me great pleasure in helping people do this,” she said.

For years, Rodriguez has continued learning different aspects of the business so as to help her clients with their real estate needs.

“I want to give my customers the best service that I possibly can with the tools and knowledge that I have obtained to be in this business,” she explained.

Along the way, Rodriguez has built some very special relationships.

“I have made many, many friends,” she said. “I have even gone on vacation with some.”

As a result of those many wonderful friendships, many of Rodriguez’s clients are gained through referrals. For Rodriguez, these referrals are a tremendous compliment and thoroughly appreciated. Providing a “job well done” for her clients is at the top of her business philosophy.

Rodriguez has acquired a highly regarded Diamond Medallion designation and received numerous awards of excellence. A humble Realtor, she claims that her hard work and skills in negotiating, marketing, communicating and selling have been valuable. However, knowledge has been the best tool of all.

“When it comes right down to it, ‘knowing how to do it and when to do it’ is important,” she said, speaking of the many details involved in the real estate business. “Every transaction is different.”

Of all the companies to choose from, Rodriguez chose to affiliate herself with Sunshine Properties when she first became licensed. She has never left the company.

“We have one of the most fantastic brokers in the business today,” she said, referring to Samee Foster. “[Foster] is a hands-on broker, so full of knowledge and willing to learn more.” In Rodriguez’ opinion, having a broker like Foster is a rarity in the real estate world.

In addition to having Foster by her side, Rodriguez believes that Sunshine Properties is unique with its family-oriented ambience and absence of inter-office competitiveness. “Each agent is here to always help one another,” she said.

Prior to becoming a successful in real estate, Rodriguez ran a concrete pipe manufacturing company in Ontario for 27 years. It was there that she perfected her talents in sales, business and management.

Celebrating her 20th year in real estate, despite the economic times, Rodriguez still finds the business rejuvenating. “I get a renewed spirit when someone comes to me with a real estate need,” she said.

When not working, Rodriguez sings with the Community Baptist Church Choir and Fallbrook Chorale.

Rodriguez admits she is a workaholic, and her love of the business probably has a great deal to do with this. “I really enjoy what I do,” she said.

Sunshine Properties is located at 330 North Main in Fallbrook. Rodriguez can be reached at (760) 728-8855 or (760) 802-4234 or [email protected].
