Bedke to hold art show

Cloyd Bedke stands by some of his works of art.

BONSALL — Artist Cloyd Bedke of Bonsall, well known for his award-winning watercolor artwork and as a teacher to aspiring painters, will hold a one-man show on Saturday, September 26, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at his home, 7109 Via De La Reina.

The public is welcome. A shuttle service will be provided from the corner of Camino Del Rey and Via de la Reina, where there is parking.

Bedke has been inspired to do many wonderful paintings of the beautiful surroundings of Bonsall/Fallbrook area, missions and ocean. View more than 40 of his new works and at 6:30 p.m., he will give a “quick draw” demonstration, completing a painting in one hour.

Sharing his talent as a community volunteer, Bedke is currently participating with the Bonsall School Foundation and the Bonsall Woman’s Club to help restore the Old Bonsall School House.

He is creating and painting a hand-fired tile mural to be set in front of the schoolhouse as well as assisting with children’s art projects.
