Open call for area dancers

TEMECULA – On Tuesday, December 15, at 7 p.m., Dance Moves, a new, unique, intimate, non-traditional dance opportunity will be offered at Old Town Temecula Community Theater.

Area artists and others are invited to experience this premiere performance and then participate in the following months.

There is no formal process to audition. These performances are meant to be “safe spaces” for established and emerging artists to be expressive, without judgments or artistic standards imposed.

Dance Moves is designed to promote awareness for the arts and seeks community connections through sponsorships and more.

Artists are not necessarily expected to present finished works, but instead present ideas or experiments still in process, thus using the space to “test” ideas.

For the audience, this creates more insight into the choreographic and performance process. At the end of the event, artists and audiences are encouraged to mingle and share their experiences with each other at the snack bar.

A donation of $5 is suggested at the door. For more information on Dance Moves, contact Peter G. Kalivas at [email protected] or by calling (619)

866-7924.
