Fire Chief's Association admin staff donates to needy family

FALLBROOK - The Esteban Family of Fallbrook were the recipients of the 2009 San Diego County Fire Chiefs Association – Administration Section’s annual community outreach donation. They were presented with a $500 donation on Monday, December 7, 2009 at the North County Fire Protection District’s Station 1 located at 315 East Ivy Street in Fallbrook.

The family of seven was chosen from numerous other submittals to the administration section for consideration. On August 24, the Esteban Family’s apartment was severely burned and all their possessions were lost. Unfortunately, this family had also recently suffered the death of a family member and along with the fire damage, not only endured an emotional hardship, but a financial one.

The San Diego Fire Chiefs Administration Section is comprised of over 40 support staff from fire agencies throughout San Diego County. They take great pride in choosing a family in need or charitable organization in the San Diego community at the holiday season every year. The $500 is a gesture of help for this family and the hope is that in helping make the citizens aware, they too might wish to assist the Esteban family with a positive start to the New Year. The Fallbrook Pop Warner organization has established a fund to accept donations for the Esteban Family.

Donations can be sent to Fallbrook Pop Warner P.O. Box 1866, Fallbrook, CA 92088. Checks payable to Fallabrook Pop Warner; Care of the Estaban Family.
