California golden poppies beckon

FALLBROOK – The Fallbrook Senior Center is planning a trip to the Poppy Fields on April 20. The wild flowers in the Antelope Valley enjoyed the recent rains so, if Mother Nature cooperates, those who go on this trip should witness the poppies in all their glory for miles around.

In addition, the group will visit the Exotic Feline Habitat where wild cats such as leopards, tigers, etc., are nurtured and bred. Many of these animals face extinction as a species without facilities like this one.

An additional stop on this trip is at the Blum Ranch which has extensive fruit and nut orchards and sells honey and jam. A wonderful lunch at Red Lobster is included.

Call Miyo Haver at (760) 728-6537 or the Fallbrook Senior Center (760) 728-4498 for more information. Deadline for registering is March 15.
