Activities for seniors include traveling and dancing

FALLBROOK – The Fallbrook Senior Travel Club’s field trip to the Golden California Poppy Fields in Antelope Valley is coming up on April 20. This trip includes a tour of the Exotic Feline Habitat and a stop at Blum Ranch. The cost includes lunch at the Red Lobster. The bus departs at 8 a.m. and returns around 6 p.m. Call The Fallbrook Senior Center at (760) 728-4498 or (760) 728-6537 for more information. Ballroom dance lessons are coming to the senior center in May. Classes will be held on the first and third Thursday of each month from 1 to 3 p.m. There is no charge by the instructor, Edith Ryder. Donations to the senior center will be appreciated. The first dance offered will be the Cha Cha. All couples are invited. If there are any single men or women interested in attending, they can call the center and the staff will try to find a partner for them.

Some of the center’s other classes and activities for the enjoyment of seniors are: exercise, yoga, line dancing, cribbage, pinochle, bridge, Mahjong, Wii bowling, pool tournaments, Knit Wits and ukulele classes.
