Fallbrook foreclosure clinic helps community save homes

FALLBROOK – The San Diego County Library is partnering with the Housing Opportunities Collaborative to offer free housing help and foreclosure prevention at monthly clinics throughout the year.

On May 15, the clinic will be held at the Hilltop Center, located at 331 East Elder Street, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This clinic will offer educational sessions and give individuals an opportunity to speak with lawyers, housing experts, and mortgage counselors about foreclosure and bankruptcy options available given their current housing situation.

Registration is required in advance, and participants must bring a photo I.D., loan documents, last mortgage statement, and any lender documents to the event. Registration for the Fallbrook clinic is open through May 13.

If homeowners are unable to attend this event, the San Diego County Library has free monthly clinics planned throughout the rest of the year.

To see a full list of clinic dates and locations, or to register to participate, go to http://bit.ly/home-clinics, call (800) 462-0503, or contact the local library at http://www.sdcl.org. Residents can register for one of these free foreclosure clinics and learn how to improve their housing situation.
