Scarecrow workshops are now in full operation

FALLBROOK – There is still time for business owners and residents to create a scarecrow to display downtown or at their residence for Fallbrook Scarecrow Days, Oct. 9-31. The ScareCREW will help them with building, touch ups, revamping, creating or whatever their scarecrow needs.

Workshops are available these weekends: Sept. 14-16, Sept. 21-23 and Sept. 28-30, 2-5 p.m. at 300 N. Brandon Road., Unit 8, in Fallbrook. For cost and registration, visit the Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce at 111 S. Main Ave. or http://www.fallbrookchamberofcommerce.org.

The scarecrow competition will be judged for the best in eight designated categories. The ScareCREW announced that new categories have been added: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle; Mechanical/Technical; Funniest/Humor and Promoting Business, along with Wow Factor; Artistic Factor; Pop Culture and Kids. Entry forms are available at Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce.

Every weekend offers new events, family fun and fairs to attend. The "Friendly Village" has restaurants, lodging, hiking trails, an art center, entertainment, shopping and more for visitors to enjoy.
