Sheriffs respond to suspected burglary/hot prowlers

Thursday, Feb. 15, there was a burglary, and hot prowl reported in the 200 block of E. College St. in Fallbrook at 11:12 am. The homeowner arrived at his house and it appeared to Tony Campbell, on the scene for Village News, that the homeowner heard male voices inside his home and called the Sheriff.

Three Sheriff's units quickly arrived on the scene and called for backup and a K-9 unit. Several more Sheriff units arrived, possibly nine cars, including the K-9, which arrived at 11:45 am from a surrounding city. The Sheriffs surrounded the perimeter and announced for the people to come outside with their hands up.

Two females and one male exited the home with at least one more male still inside, who appeared to refuse to exit the residence. Sheriffs breached the residence, lead by the K-9, and located and apprehended the male suspect, who was removed from the home, cuffed, searched and put in the back of a Sheriff's vehicle.
