Frazier School holds fun family nights

FALLBROOK – As the school year winds down at William H. Frazier School, the family nights are just warming up! “Our PTA works incredibly hard all year to support our students and teachers. As a school, we wanted to be able to give back to our wonderful volunteers by hosting family nights that they could attend with their families without having to worry about planning and running them,” said Emily Just, assistant principal.

“This is my first year at this school and I have enjoyed being part of this community. What this school does for our families is awesome. These events give parents and students the opportunity to interact, and help remind us about what is important in life; family,” said parent Elia Exile.

May 17 marked Frazier’s first Mother Son Kickball Game. While the younger boys learned the game playing alongside their moms, the older boys competed against their moms in a hard won 17-14 victory. After the games, everyone gathered for a picnic dinner of hot dogs, chips, soda, and lively conversation.

On May 30, Frazier hosted its first annual Family Math Night. The goal for the evening was to teach students and parents new math skills through playing math games, and to recognize fourth through sixth grade students who competed in the Math Olympiad this school year. Math Olympiad was taught by governing board president Patrick Rusnell.

Finally, fathers and daughters showed up dressed to impress at Frazier’s first annual Father Daughter Dance on May 31. Smiles stretched from ear to ear on every face as the girls and their fathers twirled across the dance floor and competed in dance-offs. Just said, “It was difficult to tell who had more fun, the fathers or daughters, but we can say with certainty that everyone will be back next year for the winter formal!”
