Trees transform Fallbrook High campus

FALLBROOK — Thanks to a California “ReLeaf” grant, Fallbrook High School students and local Save Our Forest (SOF) volunteers, the school has a new green look along recently widened Stage Coach Lane.
On Saturday morning, April 7, 38 volunteers convened to plant 31 trees on the campus: 16 Australian willows along the school parking lot and 15 aristocratic pears along the newly developed softball field. Beforehand, students and other volunteers benefited from a course in tree-planting conducted by tree expert Mike Peters of the Fallbrook Land Conservancy.
