Learn to use the library's computers

The Fallbrook Branch of the San Diego County Library will again be offering computer classes on the first and third Thursdays of February. The classes will be held February 7 and 21 from 9 to 10 a.m. at 124 South Mission Road. The classes are free but sign-ups are required in advance.

The purpose of these classes is to help the library user feel more familiar with services the Fallbrook branch offers through the use of electronic media.

“An Introduction to Library Computer Skills,” offered February 7, will cover how to use the library computers to find and order books, how to find and order books and renew materials using a home computer, what the SD Circuit is and how to use it, how to log on to the Internet at the library and easy tools to use to search for information on the Internet.

“An Introduction to Premium Web Resources,” offered February 21, will focus on the databases the San Diego County Library provides to help students with their homework. There are 17 of these homework help databases available for use at the library or through the library’s Web site while the student is at home. This is an excellent introductory class for parents who would like to help their children find resources for school assignments.

To sign up for either class, call the library at (760) 728-2373.
