Allstar Carpet Care thanks former customers, friends

After 18 years in Fallbrook, North County and Temecula, Allstar Carpet Care says to all its customers and dear friends, “Thanks for the memories.”

If you didn’t know already, Frank was diagnosed with melanoma cancer in December of 2002. The prognosis was not good – only a 20 percent chance of survival. Needless to say, these were some very sad days and months early on.

Fallbrook businesses and many customers and friends at our church, headed up by the dear and wonderful Teri Fontaine, who herself recently died of cancer, held a fundraiser for the Frank and Debbie Budke Trust Fund in 2004 at the Cask ’n Cleaver restaurant. The fundraiser and the generosity of many customers and friends kept us going for nearly three years. You will be in our hearts and prayers forever.

Frank is in his fifth year of remission and all his tests are good. The chemotherapy took its toll, though, and Frank has had to be on disability the last two years.

Frank has enjoyed cleaning carpets and upholstery for years and I’ve loved going along and helping out as his right-hand gal, but the three to four jobs a day are just too much for him now and he is just doing jobs here and there for neighbors and customers who won’t use anybody else. It’s in his blood. He loves to interact with customers, even if it is not quite as often.

I’m getting into property management with our son-in-law, Josh Craven, but I still answer the phone at Allstar Carpet Care.

Frank would love to hear from you all. Thank you to the Village News, Julie Reeder and her staff. They were wonderful at the fundraiser and thank you, Fallbrook, for all your prayers and contributions. This truly is a great town we live in. God bless you all.

Frank and Debbie Budke
