Hard times for ratepayers but not FPUD employees

FPUD’s board and general manager provide questionable information which requires investigation. Example: FPUD’s new Stage 1 drought plan, in plain English, means FPUD cannot expand its existing water service area/boundaries. However, contractors/developers located inside FPUD’s existing service area/boundaries are allowed new potable water. Stage 1 does not prevent FPUD from exporting its/our potable water into another water district’s service area.

California Energy Commission’s new requirements state FPUD will truck 6.9 million gallons of potable water/year and 3.9 million gallons of reclaimed water/year into Orange Grove Energy’s power plant. This is our/FPUD’s allotted potable water supply being transported into Rainbow Water District’s service area. Search the Internet; make phone calls; do research, people.

Responding to Zikakis’ fairytale, Nancy Howland did not scandalize FPUD’s Board/GM; in my opinion she told the truth. FPUD gives special rates to avo farmers, nurseries, government, business, etc., why not to needy senior citizens as Nancy requested?

FPUD pays GM Lewinger $189,000 a year to be FPUD’s GM and only FPUD’s GM, Zikakis. He should work inside FPUD’s Fallbrook offices five days a week, not approximately six days a month. Disregard his other business and SDCWA meetings; he was hired only as FPUD’s GM when unemployed. Other employers would terminate him immediately for his job attendance, why not FPUD’s directors?

FPUD’s ratepayers suffer cost increases but FPUD’s employees, including Lewinger, want pay raises, auto mileage increases, etc. If ratepayers suffer, FPUD must also suffer, including Lewinger. These are hard times with many job layoffs.
