Senior meeting focuses on knee pain

“Don’t Let Osteoarthritis of the Knee Become a Pain” will be the subject of guest speaker Dr. Thomas Adamson of San Diego at the next regular monthly meeting of the Fallbrook Seniors, which will be held September 9 at 10 a.m. in the main meeting room of the center at 399 Heald Lane.

All seniors are invited to this meeting to find out how to take care of their knees and what is going on in the community and especially at the center. Those who attend will receive a free luncheon ticket for that day only.

After lunch, there will be bingo at 12:30. Players will meet first vice president Joe Fahey and his wife Audie, who shop for all the prizes and run the games. Cards are $1, no limit. Refreshments will be served and bingo is over at 2:30.

The senior Knit Wits will meet at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 10, to continue their ongoing knitting and crocheting for Camp Pendleton dependents. Donation of good yarn and needles are always appreciated and can be left at the office. For information, call GiGi at (760) 728-9074.

This is the fourth week of a new line dancing class, held on Thursdays at 9 a.m. and ending between 10 and 10:30. There is no charge for this class. All are welcome to check it out.

Lunch is served at the Community Center at 11:30 a.m., Monday through Friday, at a cost of $3. All seniors are welcome, not just Senior Club members.
