Adopt-a-Family Program changes

The Fallbrook Food Pantry has made major changes to our Adopt-a-Family Program this year. Clients are no longer invited to “sign up;” rather, board members have targeted specific families from among our clients for adoption.

We have taken into consideration their address and type of housing, amount of monthly rental payments and number of visits made to the food pantry for assistance over the past three months. Neither newly enrolled clients nor walk-in emergency need cases will be on our list. We have only included families with children.

Are you able to provide the ingredients for a holiday meal and a gift for each member of a needy local family this Christmas? Our volunteers will be happy to assist you in choosing one of our client families.

You will be given the names, address, phone number and the number and gender of children in a family. Please contact them as soon as possible to let them know that you have adopted them for Christmas and to confirm that they will be at home when you plan to make your delivery. If you are unable to communicate with them because of a language barrier, call the pantry and we will assist you.

We would like to hear from you by December 15 to help you in choosing your family. If you have any other questions, call us at (760) 728-7608 Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or leave a message at that number and we will get back to you.
