Retired USMC General David M. Brahms to speak at Dem.Club

FALLBROOK – A general who served as a technical consultant for the Hollywood movie, “A Few Good Men,” will speak to the Fallbrook Democratic Club on Jan. 7 at 7 p.m. at the Fallbrook Public Utility District building, 990 East Mission Road.

David M. Brahms, a Staff Judge Advocate in the Marine Corps, is now retired with a private law practice in Carlsbad. Brahms is an expert witness in military operations, strategy, tactics and military administration, as well as criminal and military law.

After graduating from Harvard Law School in 1963, Brahms became a military lawyer. In 1969, he was promoted to Major and served with the 1st Marine Aircraft Wing in Da Nang, Vietnam. In 1976 and 1977, he attended the National Law Center George Washington University, where he studied law psychiatry and criminology. General Brahms was promoted to Brigadier General in 1985, prior to serving as Director, Judge Advocate Division, for the final three years of his active military career.

The public is invited to hear General Brahms’ presentation.
