The National Weather Service in San Diego is issuing a high surf advisory from 4 pm through 4 am Monday, along with a high rip current risk.
Surf heights are expected to be 3 to 5 feet with sets to 6 feet, building to 4 to 6 feet with sets to 7 feet by late afternoon.
The rip current potential is high. Very strong currents and dangerous swimming conditions are expected.
The water temperature is 58 to 60 degrees.
The outlook for Sunday is 6 to 9 feet with sets to 11 feet.
