5K Walk/Run to Feed the Hungry Nov. 20

FALLBROOK – Begin this Thanksgiving season with the Fallbrook Food Pantry’s 5 K Walk/Run to Feed the Hungry. Participants should plan to arrive at the Food Pantry, 1042 S. Mission Rd, Fallbrook, at 8:30 Saturday morning, November 20, to turn in sponsor sheets and donations and get ready for the run, which will begin at 9:00 a.m. T-shirts will be available, on a first-come, first-served basis, to the first 250 walkers and runners who bring in financial donations for the event.

After the race, there will be activities, refreshments, and a special llama and miniature horse-kissing booth. For a $1 donation, Smokey the llama or Scooter the miniature horse will provide a kiss. These friendly animals, accompanied by owner Nicole Dabitz, are known to be very gentle and have frequently helped various community groups in Bonsall and Fallbrook over the past six years.

The public is invited to join in fun while contributing to provide food for the needy in the Fallbrook community at this special time of year.
